“We could live forever but we’ll never be this young again”

So, as a continuation of my concert history (see this entry for part one), I saw another show a few weeks ago.  My third one in 5 weeks – the only 3 I’ve seen since I moved to Dallas.

The Limousines played with The Sounds in Dallas about 2 and a half weeks ago.  They were both great.  Honestly, I thought the Limousines were better even though the Sounds were the headliner.  But I also like the Limousines a lot more than I like the Sounds.  I do like The Sounds, though.  Both sets were really high energy.  Both lead singers were very interactive with the crowd.  But for some weird reason, and maybe it was just me, it kind of felt like The Sounds were just going through the motions sometimes.  I don’t know.  Either way it was a great show.  The streak of awesome live music continues!

Pictures!  The first is of The Limousines.  They brought their own lights, and they were backlit shadows for most of their set.  It was actually pretty cool.  Plus, they sounded great.  Based on their music, I wasn’t sure if their sound would be as good live or not, but it definitely was.  It was better than the album, not because the album sounds bad, but because they’re that great live!  The second picture is of The Sounds.  Notice that the lead singer (1) is wearing an American flag t-shirt (even though she’s Swedish) and (2) is wearing leather shorts that are basically just underwear.  Also, you can’t see it because of that guy’s head, but she wore ridiculously high heels for the entire show and she was jumping around and dancing and climbing up on equipment on the stage.  Really impressive, I think, considering the shoes she was wearing.  Oh, those silly Europeans!

Anyway, there’s a happy follow-up entry to the angry entry I posted earlier.  What can I say?  Life has ups and it has downs.  It has awesome music and it has jerks.
